I am William Lawrence Athelstan Edwards from Wiltshire, England. Choral music and Ecclesiastical architecture have become two great treasures in my life. Whether they come together or individually they both facilitate every possible state of mind: joy, intrigue, ecstasy, reflection, trepidation and everything in between. These obsessions (yes, they are obsessions) draw me out to a whole range of places, and have connected me with people some of whom have become great friends. Most importantly, with the addition of faith, these interests have become my rock in these pivotal years of early adulthood.

This blog forms a collection of thoughts and experiences of architecture and choral music, both together and independently. Most notably every Advent since 2020 I have selected a Choral Music Advent Calendar which reflection on a different choral piece everyday up until and including Christmas Day. These selections have become so important the way I appreciate Advent. You can also find an incomplete account on a Cathedral Tour I did with 3 great friends.

I am in two regular choirs, Bath Abbey Chamber Choir and the Bath Choral Society. I sing with Chorus Amicorum and Laudes who both are visiting choirs to cathedrals and significant churches. I periodically take part in the singing courses at the Cambridge Choral Academy. I studied Civil Engineering at UCL where I acquired much of my architectural interests alongside expanding my musical knowledge with the Symphony Chorus and the Chamber Choir.

Nine of the best days of my life.
